The company missing-pen was founded in May 2002 by Rolf Thiel. At this point in time, he could already look back on years of experience because of his activities in the family-run stationery business.

We see ourselves as a global company that lives and breathes service and customer proximity. In our online store, every writing instrument enthusiast will find what they are looking for, from the businessman to the one-time buyer. We are in love with fine writing instruments and see it as a privilege to work with them every day.

In the summer of 1986, I started an apprenticeship as a retail salesman in my parents' stationery store and worked there for 16 years.
In 2002 I founded the company missing-pen and have enjoyed working independently every day since then. So I've been in the writing instruments business for more than 35 years. When you have such good employees, you no longer have to feel so important as a boss. 😉

I originally come from the craft industry. The company missing-pen gave me the chance to make a career change in 2021. I am responsible for driving the company forward with new projects. This includes working on the online store, developing new brands, marketing tasks & product photos.
