With the Souverän® M800 Indian Ocean, Pelikan sets out on a new journey across the world's oceans. As the first edition of the new Ocean Series, it captures the colours and the fascinating atmosphere of the Indian Ocean: deep ocean blue and radiant golden yellow merge into an expressive play of colour, reminiscent of sunlight shimmering on the waves and the mysterious depths of the sea. A new model will be added to the Ocean Series every two years.
At the heart of the Indian Ocean is an acrylic material whose composition of blue and gold tones creates remarkable depth and luminosity. Its flowing structures recall the movement of water, and the individual character of the material makes every single pen unique. An elaborate polish brings out the colours beautifully and creates ever-new reflections. Depending on the light, the piston mechanism may be subtly visible beneath the surface – an interplay of colour, transparency and light that reveals new facets from every angle.
Crafted with the highest precision, the Indian Ocean combines its extraordinary material with the iconic silhouette of the Souverän® series. The artfully designed 18-carat gold nib offers the smooth and expressive writing experience the Souverän® is renowned for, while gold-plated trim sets a warm contrast to the deep ocean colours. Exclusive to this edition, the cap and piston knob feature a special single ring with a refined satin finish – brass-based and plated with high-quality 24-carat gold – adding extra refinement to the characteristic Souverän® silhouette.
